Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR), formerly known as Bob Hope Airport, is a public airport located 3 miles (5 km) northwest of downtown Burbank, in Los Angeles County, California of the United States. It serves the nearby communities of Burbank, Hollywood, Glendale, Pasadena, the San Fernando Valley and the Santa Clarita Valley.
It is closer in proximity to many popular attractions and tourism destinations such as Universal Studios Hollywood, Griffith Park, and downtown Los Angeles, than its larger rival Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). However, unlike its larger rival it serves mostly nonstop flights to cities in the western United States and Atlanta.
Categorized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a medium-hub service facility, it is the only airport in the local area with a direct rail connection to downtown Los Angeles.
The Hollywood Burbank Airport has two terminals. They are named Terminal A and Terminal B and are joined together as part of a single terminal building.
The airport has a single main south-facing entrance. Inside the building, Terminal A is located to the east side and Terminal B is located to the south and west. Each terminal has its own ticketing and security screening areas.
Terminal A baggage claim is located to the west side of Terminal A. Baggage claim for Terminal B can be found to the south end of Terminal B.
You can use our airport map at the top of this page to view the layout of both terminals as well as the stations for ground transportation services and the rental car location.
