Gothenburg Landvetter Airport is the second largest airport in Sweden, and is located about 25 kilometers from the central parts of Gothenburg. The airport is well connected to the rest of Europe, and the airlines that offer the highest number of destinations are Ryanair and SAS.

Find your gate – terminal map

Gothenburg Airport consists of only one terminal that is divided into a domestic and an international section. The airport has a total of 20 gates and about forty aircraft parking spaces.

To find the location of a specific gate, we recommend that you have a look at the map at the top of the page. Note that there is also a section with three gates that is used for flights outside the Schengen Area. To reach this part of the airport you are required to pass through immigration.

Airport hotels at GOT

If you are looking for a hotel at the airport, or nearby, there are a couple of options to choose from. Located right at the airport is Scandic Landvetter, and across the road you find Landvetter Airport Hotel. This hotel also includes complimentary shuttle service to the airport.

Transportation to Gothenburg – buses and car rentals

As previously mentioned, Gothenburg Airport is located outside the city itself. When it comes to transportation from the airport to the central parts of town there are a couple of different options to choose from. For example you can find both private and public bus transportation, where the private one takes you straight to Gothenburg while the public option requires a change of connection in Landvetter village.

If you prefer to go by car you can also find taxis right outside the airport, or rent a car. The majority of the rental car agencies are located next to the Scandic airport hotel.

Restaurants and shops at Gothenburg Airport

After passing through security you find the duty-free zone on the upper floor at Gothenburg Airport. When it comes to food and drinks, the majority of the restaurants, bars and cafes are also found here, even if there are some restaurants that you can access before the security check.
