Memphis International Airport (MEM) is the primary international airport serving Memphis, Tennessee in the United States. It is home to the FedEx Superhub, a major international global shipping hub. It is one of the busiest airports for cargo operations globally.
The airport services on average more than 80 flights per day and is an operating hub for Southern Airways Express. Its location is approximately 7 miles (11 km) southeast of downtown Memphis, in Shelby County.
The airport consists of a single terminal with three concourses.
However, at present Concourse B is the only concourse in active operation.
In front of the airport’s main entrance, are Doors 2 – 4. Inside of these doors is the ticketing area for Concourse B and beyond this area is the security checkpoint.
The boarding gates for Concourse B are located straight ahead past the security checkpoint area and to south of the main terminal entrance area.
There are 23 gates in total in Concourse B. The southwestern leg of the concourse, holding Gates B27-B44 is responsible for the handling of all non-pre-cleared international flights.

There is a wide variety of places to dine while at Memphis Airport. These range from popular cafes to sandwich shops, popular fast food and casual dining chains, and several licensed establishments featuring premium menus, family friendly environments and a sit-down dining experience.
Shops at the airport include speciality and seasonal retailers, as well as those featuring travel essentials, open-air markets, gifts and souvenirs, health and beauty products, fashion and apparel, and convenience items.
Bus: Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) has a bus stop located in front of Terminal C, at the baggage claim level, on the outer drive. Signage is posted for the MATA Bus. Airport Route #28 runs at select hours during the day on Monday through Sunday.
Taxi: Taxis and limousine services are available from in front of the Concourse B baggage claim area. Taxi services operate between the hours of 6am until one hour after the last flight arrival.
Rideshare: Pickup areas for ridesharing services are located outside each of Terminals A, B, and C on the outer commercial drive.
Rental cars: Rental car companies can be found at the Ground Transportation Center. The center is located on the lower level of Terminal B. Signage is posted for Rental Cars.
Parking: The airport offers a variety of convenient and affordable parking options in two covered facilities. Short and long-term parking rates are available, along with economy parking at the Ground Transportation Center. Additional services are available for oversize vehicles and stays of longer than 30 days.
