Eppley Airfield (OMA), also known as Omaha Airport, is the largest airport in the state of Nebraska. It is classified as a medium hub airport by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Located 3 miles (5km) northeast of downtown Omaha, Nebraska in the United States, the airport is situated on the west bank of the Missouri River in Douglas County. It is responsible for handling more flights than all other airports in the state combined.
Three of the major carriers at the airport, Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines together combine for nearly two-thirds of all passengers served annually.
The airport consists of a single terminal building with a South Terminal that includes Concourse A, and a North Terminal that includes Concourse B. It contains two levels, a lower level and an upper level.
What is commonly referred to as the Terminal, is the large rectangular-shaped building in the middle of the airport that connects the two concourses.
On the lower level of the main terminal, is the area where ticketing counters are located for the various airlines at the airport. This area also holds the baggage claim stations and the locations for ground transportation pickup for arriving passengers.
On the upper level, are shops and restaurants for passengers who are waiting for their departures. The boarding gates are located respectively, at each of the South and North Concourses.
The South Terminal, or Concourse A, includes Gates A1-A10 and serves flights on behalf of Alaksa Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Frontier Airlines.
The North Terminal, or Concourse B, includes Gates B11-B20 and serves flights for Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines and United Airlines.
Additionally, there is a consolidated rental car facility connected to the North Terminal.
You can view the airport map at the top of this page for a visual of the terminal layout including the designs of the two Concourse and the location of the car rental facility and pickup and drop off area in relation to the rest of the airport.
There are several options for travelers who are looking to get something to eat or do some shopping while at the airport.
Each concourse has its own food market and bar and grill featuring licensed beverages and a sit-down restaurant. In addition, there are convenience stores located in each concourse that include the latest in news, periodicals, travel essentials, gifts and souvenirs.
Taxi: Taxi services and the designated area for rideshare pickups are on the Ground Floor of the South Garage in Section D3. It is located opposite the main entrance to the terminal building, across the front drive walkways. It is accessible by using the Front Drive Walkways or either the North or South Skywalk from either terminal building.
Rental cars: Rental car service counters are located on the first and second floors of the North Garage. The North Garage is located to the north of the terminal building and across the street.
Parking: There are several parking options for travelers at the airport. The South Garage is located across the street from the main terminal building in features both covered and rooftop parking options. The North Garage is located further north of the terminal building and offers both covered and rooftop parking as well. There is also a North Economy lot located further to the north of the North Garage and a South Economy lot located further to the south side of the terminal building. A canopy-covered lot is also available, between the South Economy lot and the terminal building. Shuttle services are available between the North and South Economy lots and the terminal.
