Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is the second-largest airport serving the Orlando, Florida area. It is an operating base for Allegiant Air, primarily serving flights to domestic destinations in the United States.

The airport is situated in Sanford, Florida, approximately 18mi (29km) northeast of downtown Orlando. It was originally used as a Naval base for the U.S. Navy until 1969.

The airport is a two-storey building, with two terminals.

Terminal A: Handles international flights. It is located on the right-hand side of the building.

Terminal B: Handles domestic flights. It is located on the left-hand side of the building.

Level 1 hosts ground transportation, and customs and immigration for international flights originating from Terminal A.

TSA pre-clearance checks and boarding gates for both domestic and international flights can be found on Level 2. The upper level also features several shops and restaurants.

Dining and shops at Orlando Sanford Airport

The airport has several dining options conveniently located for guests on both sides of security. These include cafes, fast casual and takeaway, American cuisine and healthy options, along with licensed establishments. Operating hours at the airport are between 5am-9pm.

There is a newsstand located before security for travelers and guests to explore. After clearing security, shops at the airport include children’s games and toys, gifts, souvenirs, fashion accessories, and duty free shopping.

Taxis: The designated pick-up zone for taxis and rideshares is located directly across the street from baggage claim areas 1-3. The Yellow Cab Company of Orlando, Uber, and Lyft are regular providers of services at the airport.

Car rentals: Several car rental companies operate at the airport. These can be reached via telephone from the airport. Additionally, shuttle vans are available to transport passengers to off-site rental locations.

Parking: The airport offers several parking options for guests. These include surface and garage parking, along with special rates for hourly and longer-term stays. Priority parking with direct terminal access is also available. Rental car lots are located directly opposite the main terminal entrance.
